Student Lunch: Every Monday and Friday 1-2pm eat all you "need" for £1.50 donation. A good opportuntiy to invite friends!
Alpha Course: We'll be running Alpha Students groups this term, joining with the Woodlands Church Alpha course. 7.30pm, every Wednesday evening for nine weeks, starting 7th October.

Highgrove Students

Some students also attend Highgrove on a Sunday and meet for lunch straight after the morning service. If you want to join in, please get in touch with Sam Marsh.

Get Stuck In!

If you're coming to study in Bristol then you're in for a treat - it's a great place to be.

At Woodlands we have a large and vibrant student community, and we'd like to offer you a warm welcome.

There are plenty of activities and events available - whether you're a committed Christian, a fervent atheist, or just mildly curious and a bit hungry.

All year round (during term time), every Monday and Friday lunch time from 1-2pm.

A friendly team of volunteers from Woodlands Church and Woodstock lay out a mouth-watering selection of foodstuffs for all who may venture into the Crypt at Woodlands Church (round the back and through the purple door).

It's a build-your-own sandwich affair with crisps, doughnuts, chocolate swiss roll, biscuits, fruit and other such delicacies. And there's tea, coffee and squash to quench your thirst after a morning of lectures.

Monday lunch this term is open to all, while Friday is 'Nooma Friday' - a special for those wanting to explore Christianity.

All this, purple sofas and plenty of good company for a donation of £1.50. Bring your friends.

Innovate is laid back yet informative and challenging. Meet other students over a mug of hot chocolate and a piece of cake. Followed by a varied programme including world prayer, quiz the person who spoke at the evening service and stories from real people!

It happens every Sunday evening except the first Sunday of the month. We meet in the Crypt, directly after the evening services, from around 8.45-9.45pm.

We hope as you get to know other students at Innovate you will feel more at home at Woodlands.

Pastorate is our main gathering place for anyone who wants to be part of the Woodlands student community. Our core values are:

Being witnesses for Jesus within the student community in Bristol
Supporting and encouraging each other to become more like Jesus
Helping one another to discover and use the giftings God has given us
To work in unity with other organisations to affect Bristol for Jesus

At Pastorate we eat, worship, pray and learn together. It takes place on alternate Tuesday evenings.

During the alternate week to Pastorate a number of small groups called student cells gather.

The student community at Woodlands is overseen by our Student Minister, Martin Riddall, (pictured) along with a team that includes Chris Harlow and John & Alison Newnham.
