"Our prayer must not be self-centred. It must arise not only because we feel our own need as a burden we must lay upon God, but also because we are so bound up in love for our fellow men that we feel their need as acutely as our own. To make intercession for men is the most powerful and practical way in which we can express our love to them."

John Calvin

In Woodlands Group of Churches, this is the time of year when we dedicate a whole week to prayer. In past years Prayer Week has proved to be a special time where we get a fresh sense of what God is saying to us – both corporately and individually – as well as a renewed motivation to be a praying church.

Here's some information designed to equip and resource you during Prayer Week. Take time to consider what you are going to engage with during the week. We hope you have a great week of prayer and as a group of churches we look forward to all that God has for us in 2010.
