Services

Contrary to what the T-shirt makers claim, one size does not fit all. That's why we've tried to create a range of Sunday Services to accommodate different styles and preferences. Variety, after all, is the spice of life.

Here's a brief description of what's on offer:

Service Guide

  • Early Service

    When: 8.30 for 9am

    Where: Woodlands Crypt

    What to expect: This service takes place in the crypt and has a café feel. Come for a quieter, more thoughtful and intimate experience. Breakfast is served from 8.30am, and the service starts at 9.

  • Family Service

    When: 10.30am

    Where: Woodlands, Community Church & Highgrove

    What to expect: A relaxed and informal service for all the family. The usual mix of worship and ministry with Communion twice a month. Kids get their own groups and adults get coffee.

  • 5pm Service

    When: 5pm, Each Sunday of the month

    Where: Woodlands Crypt (except for 3rd Sundays - main Hall)

    What to expect: The 5pm service is our most recent addition to the programme. Each Sunday has a particular style and 'feel'.

    First Sundays are 'Student Led' and open to everyone; Second Sundays are 'Hungry for More' services; Third Sundays fall into the '3rd Sunday' programme; Fourth Sundays feature our 'Bible School' with in-depth teaching and discussion; Fifth Sundays are 'Interactive' with informal worship, discussion and teaching.

  • Main Evening Service

    When: 7pm

    Where: Woodlands Church

    What to expect: The chance for us to come together across the Woodlands Group of Churches. It's a city centre celebration mixing great speaking, great worship and great ministry. An exciting place to be.

  • 3rd Sunday

    When: 5pm and 7pm, Third Sunday of the month

    Where: Woodlands Church

    What to expect: Lights, camera and action for our 'high impact' service. 3rd Sunday combines powerful preaching, with inspiring worship, stories, creativity and real-world relevance. Great for both the committed Christian and the 'just looking' crowd. In fact, so good we do it twice.

  • Woodies Down Under

    When: 7pm, First Sunday of the month

    Where: Woodlands Crypt

    What to expect: Our regular evening service transplanted to a more intimate venue. The worship is unplugged, the style is more interactive and informal. A chance to engage with corporate spirituality without the props.

  • The Mix

    When: 7pm, First Sunday of the month

    Where: Woodlands Church

    What to expect: Bristol's biggest gathering of Christian young people. The Mix draws together youth groups from churches all across the South West for a dynamic and challenging evening.
