Little Acorns meets on Thursday mornings at Highgrove and is for preschool children and their parents or carers. It is run by some of the mums in the congregation.

Parents and carers have the opportunity to grab a cup of coffee and make friends in a relaxed environment whilst their toddlers play with a wide range of toys, slides and books. Each morning features a craft activity where old and young alike can express their creativity!

• Every Thursday during term time from 9.30am.
• There is a small charge of 70p per child.

Special Events

Each year, we have several special events as part of the programme at Little Acorns. These include a visit from a photographer, a summer trip, family fun days (with a bouncy castle!), Easter services and Christmas Nativity plays.

Chinese Banquet

In addition to Thursday mornings, we organise an annual evening Chinese Banquet. This allows mums to have a bit more time to chat and get to know one another without having to worry about the little ones. That job is left to the dads who stay home and babysit!

Parenting Course

Little Acorns regularly hosts a Tuesday morning Parenting course. This takes place over seven successive weeks and, while the children are looked after in the creche, the parents meet together to discuss topics such as:

• Helping children feel loved and valued
• Handling conflict
• Setting loving limits
• Keeping safe
• Keeping sane as a parent!

Each term, we produce a newsletter for those that come along setting out the term ahead and recommending upcoming training courses and other resources.
